Coach Your Downline if You Want to Succeed

Friday, November 6th, 2009

Many people in affiliate programs seem to think that once the sale is made, their work is done. If you’re in an affiliate program, you only succeed when your Downline succeeds. That means the sale is not the end of your involvement in the process, rather it is merely the beginning of a much longer process of team building.

People joining affiliate programs tend to have big goals and dreams, but sometimes they fail anyway.

Reasons Why People Fail to Become Successful Affiliates:

There are three main reasons why people fail to adapt to change, especially technological change:

  1. Lack of Skills
  2. Lack of Knowledge
  3. Fear

Adopt the “Coach” Role & Mindset:

If you adopt the mindset of a “Coach,” you can dramatically improve your Downline’s performance along all three lines.

When someone joins an affiliate program there is generally a fairly big learning curve to overcome – new product(s) such as the just-released MaxPro System, new technology, and virtual relationships, all of which are especially problematic if your new recruit is a novice in the world of internet marketing (or marketing in general).  There will be a whole new language to learn, new tools and techniques to master, not to mention becoming an expert on the product they will be marketing.

If you ignore your new recruits, they can get very frustrated in a very short time due to information overload.  If you allow your new recruits to become overly frustrated, they are likely to drop out and never become productive team members.

Your bottom line will be a lot bigger if you invest some time with your new Downline team members, coaching and mentoring them.  Be proactive: actively help your team learn the products, and learn about the technical support and other resources available to them.

You’ll also need to spend time helping them learn how to market in this new Web 2.0 world of internet Blogs and Social Communities, which are new to many people.

You can take a passive stance, and hope that new recruits will contact you when they need help – or, you can be more proactive, and contact them to make sure that they have the knowledge and skills that they need to perform the tasks being asked of them.  Take the initiative to help your new recruits overcome their fear and buyer’s remorse.

If you have a positive attitude and a desire to help your new recruits learn the business, you can coach together with your proactive behavior.  A small investment of your time to coach your downline will repay you many times over.

A very good starting point for gaining all the rest of the education about internet marketing that they will need is to have them enroll in the Online Success for Beginners program.

Affiliate Marketing – How Does It Work?

What Is Affiliate Program?

Affiliate marketing is the activity which happens as a result of an association between two actors – 1) the Merchant (sometimes called the advertiser, or partner), and 2) the Affiliate (aka the publisher). If we consider the Affiliate Program as a whole, we must include an additional party, the Customer, as well.

The Merchant provides the product for sale, and the Affiliate tries to sell that product for the merchant and/or send traffic back to the merchant’s site. In return, the Merchant agrees to pay the Affiliate a commission for sales and/or contracted results.

Commission Arrangements

Commission agreements are generally performance-based (which is a form of risk mitigation by the Merchant) and arrangements are often structured as Pay Per Click (PPC), Pay Per Sale (PPS) and Pay Per Lead (PPL) – or some combination.

Affiliate Program Classes

If we look at affiliate marketing in terms of depth, we have three different classes:  1) single-tier, 2) two-tier and 3) multi-tier programs.

Single-Tier Affiliate Programs

In a single-tier affiliate program, the Affiliates get the commission, only for driving visitors or sales to the merchant’s site. Pay/performance and pay/click are included in this category.

Two-Tier Affiliate Program

In Two-tier marketing, the Affiliate gets paid commission for every action performed by his direct referrals, plus he gets paid additional commission when one of those people he’s personally referred gets the commission.  Thus, he has a two-tier commission plan and the Affiliate gets paid both directly and indirectly.

Multi-Tier Affiliate Program

Multi-Tier Affiliate Program is very similar to Two-Tier Marketing, but here, the Affiliates get compensated for the sales made by their affiliated affiliates in multiple, unlimited, layers.

Residual Income Marketing

In Residual Income Marketing, the Affiliate is rewarded for every sale that is made by a person referred by him.

In this type of marketing, Affiliates get the commission for every sale that his referral makes on the Merchant’s website. In order for this to work properly, the first time, the person should come from the Affiliate’s pre-defined affiliate link. Then, whenever that same person visits the Merchant website (even without using the affiliate link), the Affiliate will be paid for every sale completed by the visitor.

Cookies are what make this strategy work.  A “cookie” is stored on the first-time visitor’s computer. This cookie identifies the affiliate id of the Affiliate. Cookies commonly expire after 3 months; however, some may persist beyond three months.

Every time a visitor comes to the Merchant website, his computer is queried for any previously created cookie. If a cookie is found, the affiliate id is retrieved from it and the Affiliate gets credited for any purchase made by the visitor.

Win-Win-Win

Once the affiliate marketing relationship is well-planned and well-executed, everyone wins:

  1. The Merchant gets greater market exposure and market penetration, attracting customers that would otherwise be outside the Merchant’s market reach.
  2. The Affiliate earns a commission for online sales, without needing to establish a full e-commerce site or having to manage product inventories.
  3. The Customer learns about, and can readily access desireable and useful products that s/he would otherwise not find – at least not easily.

Effective affiliate programs are Win-Win-Win situations.

Delta Squadron

Even if you are a beginner to affiliate marketing program, you can use these affiliate marketing guidelines to generate extra commission from your hard work.Though certain concepts are common, the beginners should not ignore them if they wish to achieve success through affiliate marketing. You should not promote program X only because the well known marketers are promoting them.Internet is the medium through which you can find various articles and programs describing its benefit and teaching the way of making money online, but it is not always necessary that you will gain the same amount of benefits like others with the use of such programs.Success in internet marketing also depends on the type of mailing list, network of promotional website, etc that you have, while some have their own affiliate marketers at the initial stage of promoting the product, so it is natural that such marketers will raise the level of their sales. They’ll offer you lots of affiliate marketing tips about how to promote that one product (maybe even making a profit when YOU do so, if you click to the program through their site). On the other hand, the market will get drenched if all, even his yellow dog, starts marketing X product.

Try to promote the products that are interesting for you. This is one of the most valuable and often overlooked affiliate marketing tips out there. It is advisable that you should pay attention to those areas in which you have knowledge and that is of your fantasy, as only then you will enjoy and profit from affiliate marketing.Pay attention to the selected area while looking for appropriate niche, as niche article marketing is technical term which includes parenting, skateboarding, model airplanes, and also money making programs. It is very simple that you can earn money through building websites and marketing products in which you have no interest but then you will enjoy while doing it.

Put more efforts and time in the thing you are interested in and this will allow you to earn great profits.Diversify.This is considered to be one of the best affiliate marketing tips. You should promote many relevant merchants under your niche rather that only one.You should pick up at least 3 or 4.With this you can keep an eye on the specific individual program and apply in efforts in order to choose merchants for future with the help of that information. At last pay attention towards content and place informative articles. If people come to your website somehow and if they find that you just provide entrance to other programs then there are bright chances that they will never turn up.People doing regular use of internet can easily recognize new offerings during the course of selling.Selling anything is never wrong however you need to know the right way when it comes to affiliate marketing.

You should always have a content that grabs the attention of visitors, amuse them, astonish them or which explains a new concept. This will help them to earn through affiliate marketing and Delta Squadron. If user gets some additional information then definitely he/she will click to the affiliate link and this can help you to earn commission.Good content—this is probably one of the most important affiliate marketing tips out there.

Friday, July 24th, 2009

There are a lot of people earning extra cash with Project Payday. It’s an easy way for people to make extra money online. If you have yet to look into this rather unique method of generating money, then you are missing out on what could be the simplest path to extra income ever to hit the web.

It’s okay to be a skeptic. Everyone knows you need to be careful. That’s why you should take some time and look at reviews of Project Payday before you sign up and start making money.

There are a few first timers who have trouble getting started, but thankfully there are free training video’s and a free mentors willing to show you the ropes. You’ll have to look long and hard to find another program with as many free training toos as the people at Project Payday have put out there to insure you make money.

The internet is now the hottest advertising platform that has ever come about. Millions of businesses are looking to get their products or brand names in front of billions of people who surf the net on a daily basis. What Project Payday does is essentially allows you to take advantage of these companies willingness to pay for eyes on their products.

Referrals are one of the quick ways to make extra money one the Internet, and the internet has become the fastest way to get referrals. Project Payday is kinda like the middleman brokering advertising deals. Big companies pay them to find referrals and they pay you to look at ads from these companies. It’s a win win situation for everyone.

I’m sure that most of you have heard about these MLM companies where you’re suppose to get your friends to sign up to be distributors or buy crappy products. Fortunately, you don’t have to do this with Project Payday. This alone should make it the finest work from home opportunity around, shouldn’t it?

Look at the following example to see how this project allows you to use other Project Payday members to get your referrals and make your extra cash.

All of the action starts with an extremely active message board that is set up on the website for all members to communicate. You will find this board and see what it is all about firsthand if you sign up as a member.

Once on these forums, don’t be surprised if you see people offering you real money to go and fill out free trial offers. About this time I bet you’re thinking why would anyone give you good money to take advantage of a free trial offer from a Major household company. Am I right? The answer is because some big company is offering them a huge incentive to sign up people to their free trial offer. I’ve seen some companies offer a free high end, name brand digital camera. These middlemen know that they can pay a group of people twenty to thirty dollars to sign up for the free offers from the Major Corporations and still make money off the high dollar gifts these corporations give out. You in turn get $20 just for signing up as a referral.

The nice thing is it’s all up to you whether you accept the offer or not.

It doesn’t take most people long to figure out how this program works and to take full advantage of it. Nearly anyone can do it. At the end of the day, if you want to earn more money, Project Payday gives you this option. It’s also fine to just continue filling out free offers for a couple hundred extra bucks per month. The cash reward can be great or little; it’s all a matter of what you are willing to put into it.

Infinite Income Plan – One of the Best Affiliate Programs

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

I’ve only been working with the Infinite Income Plan (IIP) for a short time, but I’m already watching the response build. I’ve currently got about 75 “opt-ins” with more being added daily.

I think I’m getting close to what Malcolm Gladwell coined “the Tipping Point” in this sales cycle. I’m thrilled about the prospects, and if you’d like to discover how to Create Residual Income, read on.

I was quite impressed by the IIP V2.0 Training Call this week and I’ve positively appreciated the individual assistance and guidance offered by my Sponsor, and having the opportunity to phone him, or email him, when I have questions and need some individual coaching. (It’s great to know that there are some real people behind this affiliate program!)

I’m an ERP consultant by profession, and recently joined the tons of people who’ve been downsized in this recession, so I’m looking to IIP to hold me through this down time, and ultimately replace my consulting income overall. One of the principal rewards for me right now is that working with IIP gives me a chance to do some very positive things to further my financial future – rather than simply sitting around, being anxious and depressed by how adverse the job situation is currently.

I’m considered a “Power User” of software systems, and fully believe in the weight of automation and leverage so I’ve taken advantage of as many of the IIP/Zoomica tools as I can – and waiting eagerly for the ones that are soon to be released in IIP V2.0. I’m especially glad to be able to outsource the sales closings to the IIP staff.

The Infinite Income Plan describes Ways To Become Rich.

It’s great to monitor my figures multiply daily, as more of my articles get published and my adwords programs operate 7×24 (even when I’m sleeping, visiting with friends, traveling, etc.)

I’m using both Google and Microsoft AdWords tools, doing a lot of article marketing, and have barely scratched the surface using the various social networking tools.

My personal goal is to automate my income, retire early, and have the benefit of what Tim Ferriss calls the “4-Hour Work Week” (a long ways from there at this early stage, but that’s my plan) along with a comfy lifestyle that is not limited to a unique geography.

If you have similar ambitions or background, and would like to discover more about this plan, I invite you to check this out: Proven Money Making Systems
